What to Expect

Warm-Up and Mobility

The class usually begins with a warm-up session to prepare your body for the demands of parkour. This includes stretching and mobility exercises to enhance flexibility and reduce the risk of injuries.

Basic Techniques

For beginners, you’ll learn fundamental parkour movements such as jumps, vaults, rolls, and landings. These techniques form the foundation of safe and efficient parkour practice.

Obstacle Progression

As you progress, the class will introduce various obstacles and challenges. You’ll learn how to approach and overcome them using parkour techniques. These might include walls, railings, and other urban structures.

Safety and Spotting

Safety is a paramount concern in parkour. Instructors will emphasize proper techniques and safe landings to minimize the risk of injuries. Spotters may be used during more advanced movements.

Flow and Creativity

Parkour isn’t just about getting from point A to point B; it’s about finding your unique style and flow. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with your movement and express your creativity.

Strength & Conditioning

Parkour requires a high level of physical fitness. Classes often include strength and conditioning exercises to help you build the strength and endurance necessary for advanced moves.
